I know converting more calls to appointments is not important to everyone otherwise everyone would be doing something about it.

Some dentists have plenty of New Patients and don’t want any more.

Some dentists have superstar front office performers who convert nearly every call.

Some dentists are content with the status quo of their practice, earn a descent income and  are staying in business. Well, today anyway!

It comes down to which dentist are you.

If you do not have plenty of new patients coming into your practice and you do not have superstar front office people and you are not happy with the way your practice is right now………..

Then it is great you are reading this blog.

I heard someone say,

“if you change nothing, then nothing changes”.

If what you are doing now is not working, and you want changes, then make some changes.

Check these four areas right now:

1. Is your marketing reaching the patients you want to see?

Correct marketing means you are getting not only the right amount of people calling your Dental Office but also the right people for the type of Dentistry you offer.

2. Is your phone ringing enough each day?

Without excellent marketing you are not going to be reaching the people you should be. Market correctly and your phone will start ringing more.

3. Are your phone calls being converted to appointments?

There is absolutely no point in spending all that money on marketing if the calls coming into your office are answered and no appointments are made. The purpose of marketing is to bring the people to call your office and the purpose of the phone call is for an appointment to be made. Make sure your calls are being answered correctly with the purpose of making an appointment or stop spending money on your marketing!

4. Are your New Patients then staying and becoming your long term loyal patients?

We focus so much on the New Patient and then forget about the next appointment. The next appointment and the following appointment are equally as important as the first. Nurture your patient so they stay with you for a long, long time. This is the essence of a successful business and really caring for patients.

You can see how important it is to your dental business to ensure your marketing is targeting the right patients for your type of practice, to ensure your team is fully trained in how to answer the phone effectively to be able to make appointments for your callers as well as having a team who are all on the same page when they communicate with patients.
