Are you ready before you call your Patient?

Do you feel that you are not sure what to ask your Patient and have trouble answering their questions?

You may not have seen your patient for a while and they are overdue for their clean appointment or they have treatment to finish.

Try this…..

Before you call your next patient, write down the following:

1. When was their last appointment?

2. What was their last appointment?

3. When is their next Hygiene Appointment?

4. What is their unfinished treatment?

5. Why is it important they finish their treatment?

6.What will happen if they delay this treatment any longer?

7. Have any life events happened since you saw them last? E.g. birthday, celebration, illness

8. What was the reason they didn’t not make their next appointment at the last one e.g. money, fear

Finding out as much as you can and being ready is so important to the success of you making the patient an appointment when you call to “follow up”.

If you don’t have this information you will never be able to ask the patient just the right questions to build urgency and concern.

As the Girl Guides say “Be Prepared”.

The patient will appreciate your knowledge. I know when someone in business calls me on the phone, the one thing that gives me confidence in that person is if they have done their homework and are ready to help me.

Start taking notes about your patients.

Share them with your team.

Be prepared before you call your Patient and be prepared when they arrive at the Dental Office for their Appointment.

Make sure everyone is prepared.

You want your Patient to always know and believe they have made the right decision in choosing your Dental Office.
